Advisory Board - Stefano Carosio

Stefano Carosio has 25 years’ experience in connecting business with science and deep-tech, animating open innovation ecosystems, including the management and commercial exploitation of R&D. He has closely worked with public authorities and leading corporations across several sectors fostering digital transformation and circular bioeconomy. Since 1996, he has been involved with EU funding, as coordinator, initiator and/or main participant in 200+ projects, mobilizing around 100 million € funding per year in the last 10 years and partnering with 4500+ organisations. Stefano has been the Italian Director of the European Space Agency (ESA) TT Network and contributed to the launch of the ESA Business Incubation Network. He works with EU/national agencies to design Innovation Programs and set up Competence Centers. He has co-chaired the PPP group of experts to define the EU R&I agenda in the field of energy efficient buildings. He got involved in the SET Plan roadmap and led the activities to develop the Strategic Agenda for the EU Biobased Economy JTI. He supported the European Institute of Innovation and Technology to assess KICs.
