Topics:  

  • Lectures: intro to space sector, basic elements of a space-based system, fundamental of orbital dynamics and astrodynamics, fundamentals of design of small satellite missions, stages of realization of technical systems with space application, structure of activities for the design of complex technical system and air/space born technical systems, system architecture and basic structural elements of a small satellite system, requirements and organization of technological cycle for production, test and qualification for space application, perspective directions for development of the global space sector 2021-2030, entrepreneurship in the field of space industry
  • Seminars: software products for engineering modeling, simulation and design of space missions and apparatus - commercial and open-source products, modeling and analysis of artificial satellite missions on Earth - missions of the EU Sentinel satellite group for Earth observation from space under the Copernicus program, Mission design and analysis of small satellite missions - a mission for communication with the Bulgarian base of Antarctica, Mission design and analysis of small satellite missions for observation and/or removal of space debris in low Earth orbit, Processing and analysis of satellite imagery through open source software, Practical exercises - engineering design and work with a model of a nanosatellite, Formation and presentation of results from R&D and technical activity, Presentation and defense by the students of the results of the individual tasks from their individual assignments
