Our next Space Café will be held on the 8th. March, on the topic "Space and the response to humanitarian crises".

This Space Café will be a unique opportunity to get to know Copernicus EU a powerful EU tool for emergency response, humanitarian assistance and disaster risk reduction. Our guests will be Stéphane Ourevitch and Igor Magdalenić, top experts who have been dealing with these topics for years.

Stéphane Ourevitch is a Senior Consultant at the Copernicus Program Support Office, with almost 20 years of experience in the collection and use of data and geo-information. He is the co-founder of Copernicus Academy, involved in the development of the Copernicus Emergency Management Service since its inception. Igor Magdalenić is the president of the Croatian Crisis Management Association and will introduce us to many concrete cases of use of crisis management mechanisms.

And that's not all, at this online space cafe we will discover both the possibilities and potential of Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS). Mr Ourevitch will be introducing us to the products, services and development plans launched so far. We will talk about cartographic products made based on satellite images and analysis related to forest fires, floods and droughts.
